Mr. Stark succeeds Garry Gause, who led Brookwood Medical Center for more than 10 years. Mr. Gause was promoted to Southern Regional CEO of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare, Brookwood’s parent company.

Mr. Stark joins Brookwood Medical Center as Tenet and San Antonio-based Baptist Health System prepare to complete a joint venture agreement that would combine Brookwood and Baptist’s four hospitals in an expanded healthcare network serving central Alabama.
