Brooklyn Hospital Center CEO Dr. Richard Becker to step down

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Hospital Center CEO, Richard Becker, MD, is stepping down to become CEO of New Found Health, a hospital and healthcare company affiliated with New York City-based Blue Wolf Capital Partners, according to Crain’s New York Business.

According to the report, Blue Wolf and Brooklyn Hospital announced a joint venture in November after an unsuccessful bid to take over Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn. Dr. Becker served as CEO of the joint venture, called BHC Healthcare Services, while he retained his role at the helm of Brooklyn Hospital Center.

Mr. Becker has been with Brooklyn Hospital for nearly seven years. The hospital’s board is launching a national search for his successor.
