Dr. Watkins, who assumed the role Aug. 19, has been a part of the medical staff at Piedmont Henry Hospital for the last 14 years. He has previously served as medical director and chief quality officer of the hospital’s emergency department. Before joining Piedmont Henry, he practiced at Southern Regional Medical Center in Riverdale, Ga.
He is a fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the Medical Association of Georgia.
