Piedmont Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center appointed Jason Smith COO.
Here are three notes:
1. Most recently, Mr. Smith served as chief nursing officer at Piedmont Newnan (Ga.) Hospital.
2. He joined Atlanta-based Piedmont Healthcare in 2009.
3. He also served as manager of the health system's financial planning and analysis group and bedside nurse in the intensive care unit at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, Ga.
