Physicians Regional Healthcare System CEO Scott Campbell resigns

Naples, Fla.-based Physicians Regional Healthcare System CEO Scott Campbell has resigned, effective immediately.

Mr. Campbell was named CEO of Physicians Regional Healthcare System in March 2013. The system was sold in January to Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems in a deal valued at $7.6 million.

Scott Lowe, currently CEO of the Collier Boulevard campus, part of Physicians Regional, will serve as interim CEO until a permanent CEO is found.
