Philip Newbold. CEO of Beacon Health System (South Bend, Ind.). Mr. Newbold had served as president and CEO of Memorial Hospital of South Bend and Memorial Health System for 25 years when the organization decided to affiliate with Elkhart (Ind.) General Hospital. He then became CEO of the affiliated organization, Beacon Health System. During his tenure at Beacon, Mr. Newbold implemented dozens of innovative health outreach programs. He also founded the Pfeil Innovation Center, which helps local businesses and nonprofit organizations become more competitive and integrate innovation into their workplaces. Outside of the office, Mr. Newbold is a husband, father, active community leader and triathlete.
