Penn Medicine names new chief marketing officer

Philadelphia-based Penn Medicine has named Taryn Pemberton chief marketing and communications officer, effective Aug. 31.

Ms. Pemberton will lead the health system’s enterprisewide marketing and communications strategy, a Penn Medicine spokesperson told Becker’s. Her responsibilities include brand development, growth marketing, and patient, provider and consumer engagement. She will also oversee internal and external communications for the health system.

Ms. Pemberton joins Penn Medicine after more than 20 years in healthcare marketing. She most recently served as vice president of marketing and communications at Hartford, Conn.-based Hartford HealthCare.

Former marketing leader Tanya Andreadis left Penn Medicine in 2025 to become chief marketing, communications and digital officer at University of Miami.
