PeaceHealth taps Richard DeCarlo to serve as COO: 3 notes

Vancouver, Wash.-based PeaceHealth appointed Richard DeCarlo has been named executive vice president and COO, effective May 30.

Here are three notes:

1. Mr. DeCarlo most recently served as COO of University of California, San Francisco’s Benioff Children’s Hospital, where he oversaw all operations of the combined $1.2 billion Children’s enterprise.

2. Previously, he worked at Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare Health System, where he served in a number of leadership roles including as COO of Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital in Long Beach, Calif.

3. He succeeds Beth O’Brien, who moved to Connecticut to be closer to her family.
