Orlando Health hospital names chief quality officer

Joel Santora, MD, is the new chief quality officer at Orlando Health St. Cloud (Fla.) Hospital.

Dr. Santora took on the role May 1, according to the Osceola News-Gazette. Most recently, he was the director of critical care medicine for Orlando Health Medical Group. Prior to that, he served as an internal medicine attending physician at Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center and a critical care physician for hospitals across the system. 

As CQO, Dr. Santora will “participate in key clinical committees” and lead processes and policies that lead to high-quality patient care, according to the hospital’s website
