Mr. Allen’s appointment follows the death of the previous CEO, Milton Bourgeois, who was fatally shot at his home last week.
Mr. Allen is currently chief of strategy and business development at the Cardiovascular Institute of the South in Houma, La. He previously served as COO of Parkview Medical Center in Pueblo, Colo., and vice president of facilities development and vice president of operations at Thibodaux (La.) Regional Medical Center.
Ochsner St. Anne Hospital also named Justin Carothers COO. Mr. Carothers currently serves as a vice president of the hospital.
