Ochsner Health Network names new COO: 3 things to know

The Ochsner Health Network, anchored by New Orleans-based Ochsner Health System and composed of health systems across the greater Gulf South region, has appointed Sabrina Heltz COO, effective Aug. 29.

Here are three things to know about Ms. Heltz.

1. As COO, she will be responsible for OHN’s data structure and analytics. She will also lead OHN’s employer solutions work and directly oversee operational areas related to value-based reimbursements, according to the network.

2. Ms. Heltz currently serves as senior vice president of medical economics and chief analytic officer at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana. There, she has been responsible for provider network development and relations, provider payment program development and administration and enterprise information management and analytics.

3. She was chairwoman of the Health Data Panel, an industry group advising the Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals on transparency and other consumer information issues.
