University Medical Center New Orleans has named Stephen Robinson Jr., as COO, effective June 1.
Mr. Robinson brings more than two decades of healthcare leadership experience. Most recently, he served as CEO of Ochsner River Region and Ochsner Medical Center-Kenner (La.), overseeing multiple hospitals, outpatient facilities, behavioral health operations and physician clinic networks across the River Parishes and Jefferson Parish.
Before joining Ochsner in 2014, Mr. Robinson served as COO of Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington, La. He previously held roles as vice president of operations and administrator at Tulane-Lakeside Hospital in Metairie, La., and assistant vice president of operations at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans, according to a June 1 release.
UMC is a 446-bed Level I trauma center and academic medical center in New Orleans operated by New Orleans-based LCMC Health.
