NYC Health + Hospitals has named Catherine Licitra, DNP, RN, chief quality officer of its Jacobi and North Central Bronx hospital campuses.
Dr. Licitra has more than 25 years of nursing and patient care experience. Most recently, she served as patient safety director at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, according to a May 13 press release. In this role, she oversaw all patient safety operations, including incident management, root cause analyses, regulatory reporting and corrective action implementation.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Licitra served as a nurse leader in the cancer center’s clinical decision unit and urgent care center, where she managed staffing, training, patient flow, budgets and workflows for 120 full-time employees and a $9 million operating budget. She also created a nine-bed clinical decision unit for medical oncology patients.
