New York City-based NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter has appointed Caroline Araullo, MSN, RN, as its chief nursing officer, according to an Aug. 11 news release.
Ms. Araullo has served as the facility’s deputy director of nursing since 2025 and as a nursing educator there since 2022. She brings more than 20 years of senior nursing leadership in post-acute care, including long-term acute care and skilled nursing settings.
As the facility’s Pathway to Excellence program director, she led NYC Health + Hospitals/Carter to the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Pathway to Excellence Designation with Distinction in 2025 — the first post-acute care facility nationwide to earn the recognition, according to the health system. She received the NYC Health + Hospitals Nursing Excellence Award in 2024.
Carter operates 365 beds across a 201-bed specialty hospital and a 164-bed skilled nursing facility, and is the only long-term acute care hospital in New York.
