Novant makes 3 C-suite changes

Winston-Salem, N.C.-based Novant Health has appointed three leaders to new C-suite roles.

John Gizdic was selected as the health system's COO, according to a May 23 news release from the health system. Mr. Gizdic, previously chief administrative officer, will replace Jeff Lindsay, who joined Chapel Hill, N.C.-based  UNC Health as its new president and COO. In his new role, Mr. Gizdic will continue leading strategic integrations and growth, and he will lead Novant's disaster command center for hurricanes and other natural disasters, according to the release.

Kim Henderson was selected as chief administrative officer, according to the release. She previously served as chief patient experience officer and system chief of staff. Novant said Ms. Henderson will now oversee Novant's people and culture team as well as team member well-being, in addition to her existing areas of responsibility.

Onyeka Nchege, who previously served as senior vice president and chief information officer,  was promoted to executive vice president and chief digital and information officer, according to the release. Novant said Mr. Nchege "will build on his strong focus to drive successful digital transformations that enable system growth."

Novant has 19 medical centers and more than 2,000 physicians in more than 850 locations, as well as various outpatient surgery centers, medical plazas, rehabilitation programs, diagnostic imaging centers and community health outreach programs, according to its website.
