Chicago-based Northwestern Medicine appointed Kate Matousek, BSN, RN, president of Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital in Palos Heights, Ill.
In her new role, Ms. Matousek oversees hospital operations, quality performance and strategic growth initiatives, according to a Sept. 22 health system news release.
Ms. Matousek has 12 years of healthcare leadership experience, including six years in vice president roles. She joined Northwestern Medicine in 2014 and served as vice president of operations at Palos Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, Ill.
She succeeded Mike Vivoda, who had served as president since 2018.
Northwestern Medicine also named Robyn Harvey, BSN, RN, vice president and chief nurse executive for Palos Hospital.
