Here are three things to know:
1. In his new role, Dr. Brogan will manage the reporting and coding of illnesses and mortality risks, and patient access capabilities. He will also continue in his role as a professor of medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in Hempstead, N.Y.
2. He previously served as executive director of Northwell’s Huntington (N.Y.) Hospital and has worked at Northwell in various positions for 20 years, according to Newsday.
3. At Huntington Hospital, Dr. Brogan was responsible for the development of its $53 million emergency department, which opened in January 2017.
