Northside Hospital selects new CEO: 4 things to know

Tampa, Fla.-based Northside Hospital appointed Valerie Powell-Stafford CEO, effective April 1.

Four things to know:

1. Ms. Powell-Stafford most recently served as CEO at Englewood (Fla.) Community Hospital.

2. She previously served as COO of Doctors Hospital of Sarasota (Fla.) and COO and ethics and compliance officer at Blake Medical Center in Bradenton, Fla.

3. She is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and has served on its board of governors.

4. Ms. Powell-Stafford holds a master’s degree in health services administration from Ann Arbor-based University of Michigan.
