North Texas Medical Center to hire Tom Sledge as CEO: 3 notes

The Gainesville (Texas) Hospital District board of directors unanimously voted to offer Tom Sledge the CEO position at Gainesville -based North Texas Medical Center, according to a Gainesville Register report.

Here are three notes:

1. Mr. Sledge is from Arkansas.

2. He has not yet accepted the offer.

3. If Mr. Sledge takes up the offer, he will succeed Chris Zeringue, who resigned last month. He resigned shortly before Plano, Texas-based Community Hospital Consulting took over management of the hospital from King of Prussia, Pa.-based Universal Health Services.
