North Cypress Medical Center names CEO

Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare expanded its Gulf Coast Division with the purchase of North Cypress Medical Center in Houston, and appointed Jim Brown,  former chief development officer at the Gulf Coast Division, to be the hospital’s CEO.

Mr. Brown joined the Gulf Coast Division as CDO in February 2017 after serving as senior vice president and CEO of ambulatory services for Houston-based Memorial Hermann Health System and CEO of Memorial Hermann Sugar Land in Houston. He earned a bachelor’s in marketing from College Station-based Texas A&M University and a master’s in healthcare administration from Trinity University in San Antonio.

“Jim Brown is uniquely qualified to lead North Cypress Medical Center,” said Troy Villarreal, president of the Gulf Coast Division. “He has a strong background in hospital operations, a keen understanding of our strategic plan and a proven track record developing services that meet the community’s healthcare needs.”
