Loyola Medicine taps new CEO: 6 things to know

Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine named Shawn P. Vincent president and CEO, effective Nov. 5.

Here are six things to know:

1. Mr. Vincent most recently served as COO of Augusta (Ga.) University Health.

2. Previously, he served as vice president for partnerships and international healthcare and strategic affiliations at Augusta University Health.

3. He has also held management positions at Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

4. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and healthcare management from Appalachian State University in Boone, N.C., and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

5. Mr. Vincent is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and is an executive fellow of the Advisory Board Company on Healthcare.

6. He holds an MBA from the University of Georgia in Athens.
