North Carolina system taps risk management, patient safety director

Iredell Health System has named Lindsay Smith to serve as its next director of risk management and patient safety.

The Statesville, N.C.-based system announced her promotion in a Nov. 14 news release. For more than a decade, Ms. Smith was Iredell Health System’s hospital-based skilled nursing administrator. In this role, she will work with administrators to develop and implement protocols to advance risk management and patient safety across the 391-bed system. 

Ms. Smith succeeds Jennifer Holmes, MSN, RN, who served as director of risk management and patient safety from October 2023 to July 2024.
