1. Mr. Valdez possesses more than 30 years of experience in the healthcare industry.
2. Prior to his appointment as senior vice president, Mr. Valdez held a leadership role at Irving, Texas-based Christus Health.
3. Mr. Valdez began his career as an attorney and served as prosecutor for the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General.
4. He is a recipient of the National Public Service Award from the American Society of Public Administration.
5. He received his undergraduate degree in business administration from the Albuquerque-based University of New Mexico and his JD from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
