New York hospital taps chief medical officer

James Syrett, MD, was appointed chief medical officer at Auburn (N.Y.) Community Hospital May 1, The Citizen reported.

Dr. Syrett will practice in the emergency department as well as attend to his leadership duties. He was previously an attending physician in emergency medicine and vice president of medical staff at Oswego (N.Y.) Hospital.
