New Hampshire hospital taps 3rd interim CEO from retirement

Claremont, N.H.-based Valley Regional Hospital has named Steve Gordon interim CEO. He exited retirement to take the job, Valley News reported Jan. 13.

Mr. Gordon has led a 45-year career in healthcare. He retired in April after 11 years as CEO of Brattleboro (Vt.) Memorial Hospital.

A string of interim leaders have helmed Valley Regional Hospital since February 2019, according to the newspaper. Peter Wright, who currently serves as CEO of St. Albans, Vt.-based Northwestern Medical Center, was its last permanent leader. Following his departure, Mr. Gordon will be the third interim leader to hold the hospital's reins.
