New CFO named for St. Vincent's HealthCare

Pamela Hess has been named CFO of Jacksonville, Fla.-based St. Vincent's HealthCare, effective July 18.

Ms. Hess comes from Saint Thomas Health in Nashville, Tenn. Both health systems are ministries of St. Louis-based Ascension.

At Saint Thomas Health, Ms. Hess was CFO of Saint Thomas West and Saint Thomas Midtown hospitals, both in Nashville. During her tenure, she standardized and streamlined numerous processes to improve the health system's finances, according to a news release.

"Pamela is an accomplished healthcare executive who will provide strategic financial counsel and oversee financial operations for St. Vincent's while continuing to be an important part of the overall Ascension finance function," Rhonda Anderson, CFO of Ascension Health, said in a prepared statement. "With her proven leadership within our Nashville health system, I look forward to Pamela's contributions to ensure the ongoing financial stability of our Jacksonville health ministry so it can continue to serve the changing and growing needs of the community."
