New CEO named for 2 RWJBarnabas Health facilities: 3 points

Monmouth Medical Center and the Unterberg Children’s Hospital in Long Branch, N.J., welcomed Eric Carney as CEO, according to an Asbury Park Press report.

Three points:

1. Both Monmouth Medical Center and the Unterberg Children’s Hospital are a part of West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health.

2. Mr. Carney has worked at Barnabas Health for 20-plus years. Barnabas Health merged with Robert Wood Johnson Health System in 2016 to become RWJBarnabas Health.

3. He was previously vice president of operations and site administrator for Barnabas Health Ambulatory Care Center in Livingston, N.J.
