Bernie Rice, senior vice president and CIO of Nemours Children’s Health, based in Jacksonville, Fla., is stepping down after 18 years in the role.
Mr. Rice announced his planned departure in a Jan. 15 post on LinkedIn.
“This marks my final week at Nemours after 26 years advancing information technology enabling the best care possible for the children we serve,” he wrote.
He stated he would be taking a sabbatical. During his tenure, Mr. Rice oversaw the leadership and strategic direction of information systems across Nemours’ multistate enterprise, which spans four states, according to his LinkedIn profile.
