Nebraska hospital names CEO

Shanna Stofer, PharmD, has been appointed president and CEO of Mary Lanning Healthcare in Hastings, Neb., effective July 13.

Ms. Stofer has held healthcare leadership roles at nonprofit and for-profit hospitals and health systems, with a focus on independent community hospitals in Nebraska and Iowa, according to a June 4 hospital news release.

The organization said Ms. Stofer is familiar with the central Nebraska healthcare landscape and has experience guiding healthcare organizations through operational and strategic change while maintaining a focus on patients, physicians and staff.

Ms. Stofer succeeds interim CEO David Zechman, who replaced former CEO Eric Barber.

Mary Lanning Healthcare operates an acute care hospital and several clinics across Nebraska.
