Nashville (Tenn.) General Hospital appointed Veronica Elders, MSN, RN, as CEO.
Ms. Elders had served as interim CEO before being selected by the Nashville General Hospital Authority Board, which unanimously approved her appointment following a national search led by AMN Healthcare’s executive search division, according to a June 25 statement from board Chair Christy Smith.
Ms. Elders strengthened operational performance, fostered collaboration across the health system and maintained a focus on patient care during her time as interim CEO, the statement said.
Ms. Elders, who previously served as chief nursing officer, was appointed acting manager in March 2025 after CEO Joseph Webb, DSc, resigned in February.
Nashville General Hospital is the city’s only public hospital.
