Nanette Mickiewicz, MD. President and CEO of Dominican Hospital (Santa Cruz, Calif.). Dr. Mickiewicz became the first physician president and CEO of Dominican Hospital in 2007. Under her leadership, Dominican Hospital serves as Santa Cruz County’s heart attack receiving center and partners with Stanford Health Care to offer neurosurgery. An infectious disease physician by training, Dr. Mickiewicz spent seven years practicing at Western Medical Associates in Santa Cruz before becoming CMO of Dominican Hospital, a subsidiary of San Francisco-based Dignity Health, in 2000.
