Sonia Mehta, MD. CEO and CMO of Loretto Hospital (Chicago). Dr. Mehta joined Loretto Hospital as CEO and CMO in 2012. The nonprofit community hospital serves around 33,000 patients and is the largest non-governmental employer in Chicago’s Austin community with 600 employees. Under her leadership, the hospital launched a new telestroke service and opened a new retail pharmacy. She has previous experience as president and CEO of Springfield, Ill.-based Hospital Sisters Health System Medical Group and executive medical director of Arlington Heights, Ill.-based Northwest Community Hospital. Dr. Mehta completed a fellowship in hematology and oncology at Evanston, Ill.-based St. Francis Hospital and completed her internal medicine residency at Oak Park, Ill.-based West Suburban Hospital.
