Al Pilong, president of Munson Medical Center and COO of Munson Healthcare, is resigning March 31 for a new job, according to the Traverse City Record Eagle. Both organizations are located in Traverse City, Mich.
Four things to know:
1. Mr. Pilong will be taking on a new role within the will be taking a job within Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System.
2. He became president of Munson Medical Center in 2013.
3. He was previously president of a hospital in Winchester, Va., and senior vice president of a six-hospital system.
4. Derk Pronger, Munson Medical Center's COO, will serve as interim CEO.
