Mountain States Health Alliance appoints Dr. Matthew Loos CMO of Washington County Market: 4 points

Johnson City, Tenn.-based Mountain States Health Alliance tapped Matthew Loos, MD, to serve as vice president/CMO for its Washington County (Tenn.) Market.

Here are four points:

1. Dr. Loos most recently served as vice president of medical affairs at West Virginia University Hospitals, based in Morgantown.

2. Board-certified in general surgery, Dr. Loos is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

3. He replaces Clay Runnels, MD, who is transitioning to the role of vice president of hospital-based programs and service line development for MSHA.

4. MSHA includes 13 hospitals and more than 90 physician practices. Eight of the 13 hospitals are in Tennessee, while the rest are in Virginia.
