Mohawk Valley Health System CEO to retire in 2019: 5 notes

Scott H. Perra, president and CEO of Utica, N.Y.-based Mohawk Valley Health System, plans to retire, effective June 30, 2019.

Here are five notes:

1. Mr. Perra assumed the president role at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare in Utica in January 2009.

2. In March 2014, Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare entered into an affiliation with St. Elizabeth Medical Center, also in Utica, forming Mohawk Valley Health System.

3. Mr. Perra then assumed his current roles as president and CEO of Mohawk Valley Health System.

4. Previously, he served as executive vice president/COO at Utica-based St. Luke’s-Memorial Hospital Center, roles he continued in after the hospital merged with Utica-based Faxton Hospital in 1998.

5. Mohawk Valley Health System’s board of directors have established a search committee to identify Mr. Perra’s replacement.
