Moberly Regional Medical Center CEO John Dawes departs: 5 things to know

Moberly (Mo.) Regional Medical Center CEO John M. Dawes has resigned, according to the Moberly Monitor-Index.

Here are five things to know:

1. Hospital officials declined to comment on the reason for Mr. Dawes’ resignation.

2. Mr. Dawes became CEO of MRMC in April 2016, prior to which he was CEO of Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia, Mo., for 13 years.

3. During Ms. Dawes’ brief tenure, MRMC announced an affiliation with Columbia-based University of Missouri Health Care, through which five physicians will offer full-time specialty cardiac care in Moberly.

4. While MRRMC searches for a new permanent leader, Ranee Brayton, CEO of Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville, Mo., will serve as interim CEO. She will lead both hospitals.

5. Both Moberly Regional Medical Center and Northeast Regional Medical Center are a part of Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Health Systems.
