Here are four things to know:
1. Mr. Pearson most recently served as CEO of Merit Health River Region in Vicksburg, Miss.
2. Prior to that, he served in a number of healthcare leadership positions, including CFO of St. Joseph Medical Center in Houston and CFO of Riverview Regional Medical Center in Gadsden, Ala.
3. He holds a master’s degree in business administration from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, La.
4. He replaces Steve Selzer, the hospital’s interim CEO. The medical center named Mr. Selzer interim CEO following the retirement of long-time CEO George French, who retired earlier in the year.
