MidHudson Regional Hospital names new executive director

Paul Hochenberg has been named executive director of MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie, N.Y., part of Valhalla, N.Y.-based Westchester Medical Center.

Mr. Hochenberg will replace Arthur Nizza, who will be leaving MidHudson in January to pursue a leadership position in Wisconsin.

Mr. Hochenberg’s career as a hospital administrator has spanned more than 40 years. He has led numerous healthcare organizations, including St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh N.Y., Craig House Hospital in Beacon, N.Y., and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, in New Hyde Park, N.Y.

Most recently, Mr. Hochenberg served as senior vice president for human resources and chief learning officer for Westchester Medical Center, which includes MidHudson Regional Hospital, Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital and a behavioral health center.
