Metroplex Health System CEO to depart: 5 things to know

Carlyle Walton, president and CEO of Killeen, Texas-based Metroplex Health System, is resigning.

Here are five things to know:

1. Mr. Walton is leaving to serve as president of the Adventist Health Policy Association, a public policy and advocacy association for Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health’s 90 U.S. hospitals.

2. Metroplex Health System is a part of Adventist Health.

3. Mr. Walton served as Metroplex’s leader for nine years.

4. He also served on the Texas Hospital Association’s board.

5. Mr. Walton will assume his new role with Adventist Health Policy Association July 2.
