Methodist Health System CMO named hospital president

Martin Koonsman, MD, has been named president of Methodist Dallas Medical Center, effective Oct. 1, according to a D Healthcare Daily report.

Dr. Koonsman was the CMO of Dallas-based Methodist Health System before accepting the role as president of the system’s flagship hospital. He has 27 years of experience practicing medicine as a general surgeon.

Dr. Koonsman is replacing David Clark as hospital president. Mr. Clark left his post to be closer to his family in Utah, according to the report.
