Stanford Children’s Health names new CNO: 5 things to know

Stanford (Calif.) Children’s Health has named Kelly M. Johnson, PhD, RN, vice president for patient care services and CNO.

Here are five things to know about Dr. Johnson.

1. Dr. Johnson will replace Susan Costello, PhD, RN, who recently retired.

2. Dr. Johnson holds a BSN from Greeley-based University of NorthernColorado, an MSN from the University of California, San Francisco and a PhD in health outcomes from Aurora-based University of Colorado, College of Nursing.

3. From 1993 to 2008, Dr. Johnson served as vice president for patient care services and CNO at Englewood, Colo.-based Craig Hospital.

4. Since 2008, she has been serving as the Dori Biester Chair in Pediatric Nursing, senior vice president and CNO at Aurora-based Children’s Hospital of Colorado.

5. She will begin her new position Nov. 2.
