1. Mr. Banks comes to Merit Health Wesley from Davis Regional Medical Center in Statesville, N.C., where he served as CEO.
2. He has prior experience as COO at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center in Mooresville, N.C., and as COO and chief nursing officer at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston, Ala.
3. Mr. Banks won the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing’s Young Alumni Merit Award in 2013.
4. He succeeds Mike Neuendorf, who is left to serve as CEO of Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham.
