Four points:
1. Dr. Roose most recently served as regional chief of addiction medicine and recovery services for Hartford, Conn.-based Trinity Health of New England, Mercy Medical Center’s parent.
2. He previously served as vice president of behavioral health for Mercy Medical Center and its affiliates.
3. He has served on the Quality Improvement Council of the American Society of Addiction Medicine and Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker’s Opioid Addiction Working Group.
4. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Roose holds a master’s degree in public health from George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, D.C.
