Mercy Hospital Joplin appoints Jeremy Drinkwitz president

Mercy Hospital Joplin (Mo.) has selected Jeremy Drinkwitz to serve as president, according to the Joplin Globe.

Mr. Drinkwitz was most recently COO of the hospital, a role he took on in 2016. Before that, he was COO of Sparks Health System in Fort Smith, Ark. He also has served as associate administrator of Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory, Miss.

Mr. Drinkwitz is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Arkansas-Little Rock.

He succeeds Gary Pulsipher, who retired July 26.
