Mercy hires Google veteran as chief product officer

Chesterfield, Mo.-based Mercy Health has named Lina Scroggins chief product officer, according to a Feb. 2 health system news release.

In the role, Ms. Scroggins will lead efforts to simplify and better connect the patient experience across the health system’s digital platforms.

She brings nearly two decades of experience from Google, where she worked on Google Health and led digital transformation initiatives for health systems. Her work focused on improving access to care and personalization through digital tools.

At Mercy, Ms. Scroggins is set to oversee patient-facing platforms including mercy.net, the MyMercy app and the system’s contact center, with a focus on helping patients connect to care more efficiently.
