Ms. Pena most recently served as clinical services director of emergency, trauma and critical care at Mercy Health Saint Mary’s. She has worked at the hospital for more than 25 years, initially joining as a staff nurse in the emergency department and intensive care unit.
She is also readiness champion for the Epic EHR, helping the hospital implement the system in time for a 2020 launch.
Ms. Pena succeeds Elizabeth Murphy, RN, who is retiring Nov. 5.
