MemorialCare taps CNO for 2 hospitals: 3 notes

Fountain Valley, Calif.-based MemorialCare appointed Antonio Garcia, MSN, RN, chief nursing officer of Long Beach (Calif.) Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach.

Three notes:

1. Mr. Garcia most recently served as CNO of Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare’s Northern California Central Valley Region.

2. He also has experience working at Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, where he served in several leadership roles.

3. In his new role, Mr. Garcia will lead 1,900 registered nurses as well as oversee nursing care and patient care standards at Long Beach Medical Center and Miller Children’s & Women’s.
