Memorial Hospital CEO Gary Baker to step down

Gary Baker, president and CEO of Memorial Hospital in Towanda, Pa., has announced he will step down from his role when the hospital’s planned merger into the Sayre, Pa.-based Guthrie Health System takes place in the coming months, according to a report in The Daily Review.

Guthrie Health System and Memorial Hospital signed an affiliation agreement in April. Under the agreement, Memorial will join the Guthrie network of hospitals and clinics and be renamed Guthrie Towanda Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Baker will retire when he leaves Memorial Hospital, where he served as president and CEO for over 20 years.
