Jay Roszhart, president and CEO of Springfield (Ill.) Memorial Hospital, plans to step down from his role June 12 to pursue other opportunities.
Mr. Roszhart’s commitment to building relationships, advancing innovation and strengthening culture has meaningfully affected the hospital and Springfield-based Memorial Health, system COO Drew Early said in a June 9 statement shared with Becker’s.
“We are grateful for his leadership, unique perspective, and dedication to our mission, and wish him the best,” Mr. Early said.
Mr. Roszhart has served as hospital CEO since July 2024. Before that, he was president of the Memorial Health Ambulatory Group, overseeing the system’s behavioral health, home care and specialty care service lines.
He succeeded CEO Chuck Callahan, PhD, who exited in June 2024 to seek other professional opportunities.
Mr. Early will oversee operations during the leadership transition, a health system spokesperson confirmed to Becker’s.
