MedStar Montgomery Medical names president: 5 things to know

Thomas J. (T.J.) Senker has been named president of Olney, Md.-based MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, effective Feb.1.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Senker.

1. He also serves as senior vice president for Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health. 

2. He previously was COO of MedStar Montgomery Medical Center.

3. Before joining MedStar Montgomery Medical Center, he was vice president of regional integration and operations for MedStar Health, where he lead service optimization, performance improvement and integration activities across the Baltimore region.

4. Mr. Senker is board-certified in healthcare management as a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

5. He succeeds Peter W. Monge.
